Lesson CGL.1: Tier 2 Mains Advanced Quantitative Aptitude

Introduction:
Tier 2 Quantitative Aptitude in SSC CGL is more advanced than Tier 1. It tests higher-level arithmetic, algebra, geometry, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills. Practice, shortcuts, and concept clarity are crucial.


1. Key Topics

  • Algebra: Quadratic equations, inequalities, algebraic expressions

  • Geometry & Mensuration: Circles, triangles, quadrilaterals, 3D geometry

  • Trigonometry: Heights & distances, ratios, identities

  • Advanced Arithmetic: Profit-loss, time-speed-distance, ratios, averages, percentage, SI & CI, work & wages

  • Data Interpretation: Tables, pie charts, bar graphs, line graphs


2. How to Approach

  1. Read the question carefully and identify the topic.

  2. Apply shortcuts and formulas wherever possible.
