Introduction:
Para jumbles and sentence rearrangement questions test logical sequencing, comprehension, and grammar skills in SSC English exams.
1. Para Jumbles

Definition: Sentences of a paragraph are mixed, and you need to arrange them in a logical sequence.

Tips:

Identify opening sentence (usually introduces the topic).

Look for linking words (however, therefore, then, finally).

Identify chronological or logical order.

Check pronoun references to maintain coherence.

Example: Arrange the following sentences:
(a) Ram went to the market.
(b) He bought apples and oranges.
(c) Then he returned home.
Answer: a → b → c
2. Sentence Rearrangement

Definition: Rearrange parts of a sentence to make it grammatically correct.

Example:

jumbled: “went / the boy / to school / yesterday”

Correct: “The boy went to school yesterday.”
