Lesson 4.2: Editing and Formatting Cells
This lesson will teach you how to make your spreadsheet more readable and professional by editing and formatting the content of cells.
✏️ Editing Cell Content:
➤ Modify Text or Numbers:

Double-click the cell or select it and press F2

Make changes and press Enter
➤ Delete Cell Content:

Select the cell and press Delete
🎨 Cell Formatting Options:
You can find formatting tools in the toolbar of Excel or Google Sheets.
| Formatting Tool | Purpose |

| Bold (B) | Make text bold |
| Italic (I) | Italicize text |
| Underline (U) | Underline text |
| Font Style/Size | Change font type and size |
| Font Color | Change text color |
| Cell Fill Color | Highlight the background of a cell |
| Text Alignment | Align text to left, center, or right |
| Wrap Text | Makes long text visible within the cell |
| Merge Cells | Combine multiple cells into one |
➕ Number Formatting:
Used to change how numbers appear.

To apply, select the cell(s) → Click Format → Choose Number format
