Lesson 3.5: Saving, Printing, and Sharing Word Documents
In this lesson, you’ll learn how to save your documents safely, print them with proper settings, and share them digitally with others.
💾 Saving a Document:
➤ Save for the First Time:

Go to File > Save As

Choose location (This PC, Desktop, etc.)

Give a File Name
-
Select file type: .docx (default), or .pdf (if needed)

Click Save
➤ Quick Save:

Press Ctrl + S anytime to quickly save changes.
🖨️ Printing a Document:

Go to File > Print
-
Choose printer from the dropdown

Set number of copies
-
Select Pages to Print (All / Specific pages)

Click Print
📌 Use “Print Preview” to avoid mistakes before printing.
📤 Sharing a Document:
➤ Sharing via Email:

Go to File > Share > Email

Choose to send as:

Word Document (.docx)

PDF Attachment
-
Link via OneDrive (requires Microsoft Account)

➤ Save as PDF:
-
File > Save As > Select PDF from file type dropdown
