Lesson 3.1: Introduction to Microsoft Word and Its Interface
Microsoft Word is a word processing application used to create, edit, and format text documents. It is one of the most essential tools for office and clerical work.
🔹 Uses of MS Word:

Writing letters, reports, resumes, and applications

Formatting official documents professionally
🔸 Opening MS Word:

Click on the Start Menu

Search for “Word” and open it

A new blank document or template window will appear
🔹 MS Word Interface Overview:

| Title Bar | Shows the name of the document and app |
| Quick Access Toolbar | Contains save, undo, redo buttons |
| Ribbon | Main toolbar with all features (Home, Insert, Layout, etc.) |
| Document Area | Where you type and edit your text |
| Status Bar | Displays page number, word count, and zoom |
🔸 Important Tabs in the Ribbon:

📝 Practice Task:
