Answer writing is the most important skill for UPSC Mains. The examiner checks clarity, structure, and content. Even if you know everything, poor presentation will cost marks.
1. UPSC Answer Structure (Ideal Format)
✅ Introduction (2–3 lines): Define key terms or give context.

2. Key Tips for High-Scoring Answers
✔ Stick to word limit (150 or 250 words).
✔ Use simple language – don’t write like a research paper.
✔ Add diagrams/maps/flowcharts where possible.
✔ Underline keywords (main points, theories, examples).
✔ Quote committees, reports, data if relevant.
3. Common Mistakes to Avoid
❌ Writing too much introduction.

❌ Irrelevant content just to fill space.
