Lesson 2.4: Add/Remove Programs & Printers
Operating systems allow users to install new programs, uninstall unused ones, and connect printers for printing documents. These options are available in system settings or control panel.
💻 1. Add or Remove Programs
You can add new programs by installing software from a setup file, CD/DVD, or internet download. Unwanted programs can be removed to free up space and improve performance.
✅ To Remove a Program:

Go to Control Panel → Programs → Programs and Features

Select the program you want to remove

Click Uninstall

Follow the on-screen instructions

Only uninstall software you recognize

Use antivirus to scan downloaded files before installing
🖨️ 2. Add or Remove Printers
Printers are output devices used to print documents, photos, etc. You can add a printer through USB connection or Wi-Fi.
✅ To Add a Printer:

Go to Settings → Devices → Printers & scanners

Click Add a printer or scanner

Windows will search for available printers

Select your printer and click Add device
❌ To Remove a Printer:

Go to Printers & scanners

Select the printer

Click Remove device
🧠 Important Points:

Some printers need drivers; they install automatically or come with a CD/download link

Wireless printers need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network

You can set a default printer for regular use
