e-Governance can be divided into four types, based on who is interacting with the government. Let’s understand each one:

🧍‍♂️ 1. G2C – Government to Citizen

Government provides services directly to citizens through websites or apps.

  • Applying for birth/death certificates online

  • Paying electricity/water bills online

  • Accessing services via UMANG App

  • Downloading documents from DigiLocker

  • e-District services for caste/income certificates

🏛️ 2. G2G – Government to Government

Different government departments share data and communicate digitally for better coordination.
