Lesson 4.3: Cloze Test & Fill in the Blanks

Objective: Master Cloze Test and Fill in the Blanks questions to improve accuracy in the English section of Banking Exams.

1. Cloze Test Basics

  • Definition: A passage with missing words; you need to choose the correct word for each blank.

  • Purpose: Tests grammar, vocabulary, and contextual understanding.

  • Tips to Solve:

    1. Read the whole sentence first.

    2. Look for context clues in surrounding sentences.

    3. Check tense, articles, prepositions, and subject-verb agreement.

    4. Eliminate implausible options first.

Example:

2. Fill in the Blanks
