1. Parts of Speech

  • Noun: Name of a person, place, thing, or idea (e.g., bank, teacher, city)

  • Pronoun: Replaces a noun (he, she, it, they)

  • Verb: Action or state (run, is, write)

  • Adjective: Describes a noun (beautiful, tall)

  • Adverb: Describes a verb, adjective, or adverb (quickly, very)

  • Preposition: Shows relationship between noun/pronoun and other words (in, on, at)

  • Conjunction: Connects words, phrases, or clauses (and, but, or)

  • Interjection: Expresses emotion (oh!, wow!, alas!)

Tips:

2. Tenses
